Seminarie Agoria 16 april '09

A closer look at the construction, energy & ICT sector in Africa's most southern country

In recent years South Africa has enjoyed strong economic growth. Not only in the traditional mining sector which we know well, but in a broad spectrum of industries. The nomination for the 2010 worldchampionship soccer only added to the boom with a spending spree on infrastructure projects.

Despite the economic crisis, which has hit the country as well, most notably in the automotive and quarrying industries, there are still opportunities to be found in the energy, construction and ICT sectors.

There is a desperate need for more power generation capacity, both conventional as renewable. The preparations for the 2010 cup infrastructure are still steaming ahead. And both sectors rely a great deal on innovations in the ICT industry, amongst others.

Agoria International Business , together with the Business Club Zuid-Afrika (www.bcza.be), are organizing a seminar to have a closer look at the possibilities in these sectors. Through testimonies of succesfull companies such as Betafence, Barco and Anaxis this event will teach the participant about the opportunities and the do’s and don’ts of doing business in South Africa. It will also be the ideal introduction to the coming trade mission to South Africa, organized by the BCZA in November 2009.

This event will take place on Thursday, April 16 2009. Venue will be the nice setting of the renewed Business lounge of KSV Roeselare (Schierveldestadion, Roeselare).
